| 28.09.2004 15:40: 2nd ENVISAT Summer School on Earth System Monitoring & Modelling |
| | This ESA summer school was held in Frascati 16-26 Aug 2004. Beside introductions in monitoring and modelling atmosphere, ocean and land surface, special focus lay on different Data Assimilation techniques to merge information from remote sensing and knowledge about functioning of the systems. Shaun Quegan, SCEOS, Sheffield, UK and Christiane Schmullius, FSU, Jena, Germany gave 3 lectures each. Daniela Knorr and Christian Beer, FSU, Jena, Germany both presented a SIBERIA-II related poster. The poster of Christian Beer was voted as the best among 70 participants.
